Our Standard

Solar lighting in Australia has a credibility problem. IP ratings that were never tested. “Warm white” that reads cold and blue. String lights shorter than the number on the box. Batteries that give out before midnight.

SCENOVIA exists to fix exactly that, in the AU$20–70 range where it matters most. Every product we sell is held to the same written standard before it reaches a listing.

What we check, every batch

Length

Stated length is measured length. A 32-metre string is 32 metres of lit wire — no rounding up, and no counting the lead cable.

Colour

2700K means 2700K. Colour temperature is checked against the specification on every batch, so light that looks warm at dusk still looks warm at midnight.

Ingress protection

IP65 is verified before it is printed. Rain, sprinklers and coastal air are the baseline conditions of an Australian garden, not edge cases.

UV stability

Housings are selected for UV stability under the Australian sun, so finishes and plastics hold past their first summer.

Runtime

NiMH cells are sized for a full night’s run from a day’s charge — the light should still be on when you go to bed, and charging again by morning.

Candles, held to the same idea

Our candles are hand-poured soy wax in ceramic vessels, with cotton wicks and burn times we have actually burned. The vessel is made to be kept when the candle is done.

If something falls short
